mural as environment

Murals that deceive the eye are  a wonderful art form.
taking the personal experiences of a client, something very different than than I'll ever come up with on my own and with my abilitys we create  together  a new and unexpected environment that touches those memories through the visual experience that a mural can give, here is and example of such a meaningful place and time......
Imagine if you will, your in your teens and it is a summers eve at the local drive in (now long gone)
your favorite movie of the time is playing and all the cars of your youth are there.   Details tell of the times and of meaningful things.

this thirty foot mural will have seating and will obscure some minor elements. but you will be watching the movies with all the joy once again.

Along came pretty little May....and my featured artist show at the Red Chair Gallery, Bend, OR.  Here are a couple of pic's from the reception during Art Walk.

First sale of the evening.

The reception was crowded and lively until we locked the door at 9 p.m.  Everyone was definitely enjoying the warm weather and excited about getting out for the evening.
